New EA Closed Landfill Charging Scheme_ September 2009 Jan 25, 2010
The Environment Agency has recently released a Briefing Note with regards to Closed Landfills (i.e. landfills that have stopped receiving waste). The legislation on landfill charging scheme will change from next year. You can download a pdf copy of the note here.
Landfill operators will now be required to collect an increasing amount of monitoring data in order to comply with the regulation and prove their site to be clear of any contamination.

The Environment Agency has produced an additional guidance document on TPH risk assessment.
This document has not been released to the public at this time, but will shortly be available.
